n the modern world, anxiety often keeps our energy trapped in our heads. We overthink, we worry about the future, and we lose touch with the earth beneath our feet. Grounding, or 'Earthing,' in yoga is the practice of consciously connecting your physical body with the ground to quiet the mind.

Grounding poses, or 'Apana Vayu' asanas, focus on the downward flow of energy. When we press our feet or sit-bones into the mat, we send a signal to our nervous system that we are safe. This immediate physical feedback can lower cortisol levels significantly.

Try incorporating Tadasana (Mountain Pose) with your eyes closed, focusing entirely on the four corners of your feet. Feel the weight distributing evenly. Move into Balasana (Child's Pose) to soothe the adrenal glands. By shifting the focus from the 'thinking brain' to the 'feeling body,' we break the cycle of panic and return to the present moment.

"When you listen to yourself, everything come naturally. It come from in, like a kind of will to do something. Try to be sensitive. That is yoga."
